Looks like we might be in for a free lunch. Let’s just stick around in the trees and keep watching…. Those two guys down there have just finished cooking. Mmmmm… smells good, too!
This is where us kookaburras live – Wappa Dam. This beautiful reserve is just outside a town called Yandina in the hinterland of the Sunshine Coast, Queensland.
We love it here. Plenty of tall trees to perch in. Good for a bird’s-eye view of any food that might be around.
Best of all we love picnics and BBQ’s. We don’t wait for an invitation. We just know everyone loves us.
It’s Autumn here now and the leaves on the liquid amber trees are just beginning to turn red.
What’s that? Did someone just throw something. Whoopee! A bit of sausage!
